Operations Specialist

Main Role

The Operations Specialist will contribute to the smooth daily functioning of Metavallon’s office and provide support across investment, portfolio, and fund operations. The role includes coordination of office administration, communication with portfolio companies, investors, and external partners (suppliers, accountants, lawyers, consultants), and assistance with fund activities and communications. The position is based in Athens and reports to Metavallon’s Partners.

Key Contribtions & Support Areas

• Support internal and external communications with portfolio companies, investors, banks, and collaborators.
• Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and fund communications.
• Contribute to organizing meetings, events, and conferences.
• Support basic financial and compliance processes (e.g. KYC/AML, other regulatory) in collaboration with external accountants and advisors.
• Contribute to research, news monitoring, and information gathering tasks on startups, market trends, and ecosystem developments.
• Support the management of Metavallon’s social media presence and website updates.
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily office functioning (supplies, maintenance, cleaning, travel coordination).

Essential Requirements

• BSc in Business Administration, Economics, or related field (or currently studying towards completion).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in an office, operations, or junior analyst/assistant role (internships also considered).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills in Greek and English, written and oral.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with social media tools is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
